Four strangers, 21 days, one 2009 Toyota Corolla. Who will Carvive?

Survivor the TV show is being lived out in a 2009 Toyota Corolla at Wheeler Toyota in Grants Pass.

Four contestants have been chosen to live in the Corolla 24 hours a day, seven days a week for at least 21 days.

They’ll eat, sleep and live together until we crown a "Carvivor".

Contestants will be fed three meals a day, they will take part in daily challenges to win prizes and all will be captured by Grants Pass Broadcasting and Web Cams each and every day during the excitement that is "CARVIVOR".

"CARVIVOR" will be lived out on the lot of Wheeler Toyota where the contestants job will be to outlast, outlive and outsit their competition.  Join us as we attempt to crown the winner of Carvivor 2009.  The winner will drive off in a brand new 2009 Toyota Corolla, the same car they have lived, slept and strategized in for at least the previous 21 days.

I can’t believe just how unrealistic this is… It really can’t be too hard to live in a car with three people you don’t know. Especially if people are bringing you every meal. It’d be different if it was made to look less difficult and less like a reality show and if KLDR and all the sponsors admitted that all it really is: a chance for people to sponsor something and get their name out, while preying on people’s weird fascination with ‘reality’ shows. It really could’ve been great too, they could donate some proceeds to help people who actually have to live in their cars and don’t have their meals delivered to them.

Hey Bea……..wow, I am really impressed now that I know more of what is happening in your car. I am bragging to my other friends that I have a “Carviver” as a friend. I happened to see you in the place yesterday from a computer at work. Your flour drop was not quite on target, but you did survive that challenge anyway! I will check in on you again this week. Keep sitting and smiling. The cam shows a VERY ACTIVE Bea. Enjoy the rest of the story.

This blog is for the “powers-to-be” at KLDR who allowed a contestant to use over the counter SLEEPING PILLS. This was completely unfair to other contestants. I thought this contest was to have many disadvantages…to include not so ideal sleeping arrangements….well, by allowing this contestant to use a sleep aid, there was NO sleeping disadvantage…infact he had an ADVANTAGE over the other contestants by having MANY nights of ideal sleep!!!! Everyone at KLDR needs to think long and hard about allowing this to take place for so long. Thank gosh for Bea who took the sleeping pills away from him after winning a challenge. In all fairness to the remaining contestants, other then the contestant who used the sleeping pills until recently, you should return items which would be an advantage for them.
Again, the Powers to be need to think long and hard about the fairness of the use of sleeping pills…Do you think they allow it on Survivor?????

  1. At the beginning of the qualification all the contestants were instructed to bring with them whatever items they thought would help them through the competition that would fit into a one gallon ziplock bag. There were a few exclusions (anything illegal and all electronic devices) but, otherwise, they were free to bring what they wanted. Part of the strategy is to equip oneself with what they need. All of them could have brought over the counter sleeping pills if that’s what they thought they needed. Many brought ear plugs. It was up to them as to what they, personally, needed to “Carvive.”

Unlike the TV show you mentioned we also didn’t make the contestants build their own shelters, find their own food or eat insects.

Please do not disqualify a contestant for creativity and for being resourceful.

That’s right Carvivor, it did say anything NOT ILLEGAL, over the counter is not illegal.
No wonder Jeromy said “He could sleep anywhere” in his entry speech!
    To each, their own……
Don’t hate the player, Just the game…..!
